In most cases the tense of the verb implies the \u201calready\u201d, so it shouldn\u2019t be translated.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vier-Augen-Prinzip:<\/strong> a questionable but widely accepted term in German, there is no \u201cfour-eyes principle\u201d in English. \u201cDouble-checked\u201d or \u201cthird-party review\u201d work well in most situations.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren:<\/strong> the generic German plural address can be translated very differently depending on context.
