INTERPRETING

job application support & job interview service

We can prepare you and your CV/résumé for the perfect English job interview!

Looking for work in an international company? We can help you get the job! Our native English speaking coaches can support you in 3 phases:

Phase 1:
We can translate and adapt your German CV into perfect English.

Phase 2:
We can then translate and adapt your letter of application/cover letter.

Phase 3:
Should you be invited to an interview, we can coach you in presenting yourself, your strengths, your skills and your experience to an international interviewer.

phase 1: cv/résumé translation and adaption

English CVs (British) or résumés (American) differ immensely from German “Lebensläufen” in terms of both content and style. For example, a résumé going to an American company should never include a date of birth, and doesn’t require a photo or your signature. In close cooperation with you, the job applicant we can offer the following support:
  • You provide us with a German “Lebenslauf” (preferably via email)
  • Client briefing takes place in form of a telephone interview (further information about the applicant, the job description, the target country/ culture for which the CV/résumé needs to be written etc.)
  • Within 5-7 working days, we deliver an English CV/résumé (2 A4 pages) written in MS Word and with complete layout via email
  • If necessary, a second client briefing takes place and a second reworked version of the CV/résumé can be delivered

phase 2: translation and adaption of letter of application

This letter is often your only chance to motivate potential employers to read your CV/résumé. We can translate and adapt it for you and dramatically increase the chances that it will meet with interest.

phase 3: interview coaching

Our native English speaking coaches from America, Britain, Australia and South Africa can intensively prepare you for your job interview. The content of each interview coaching session is chosen to suit the job you are applying for and the company you are applying to. The coach and his/her nationality are also chosen to match this need. A normal coaching session will include the following:
  • Interview simulation with video feedback
  • Question and answer preparation based on CV/résumé content
  • Tips for dealing with the target interview culture (eg. American etiquette tips)
